The 2nd ICP International Conference
ICP Conference 2027
on SolarEV City
Towards a Global Research and Innovation Agenda for Sustainable, Affordable and Resilient Net-Zero Emission Communities
Climate change is intensifying, bringing increasingly severe risks to communities, infrastructure and energy systems around the world. At the same time, solar photovoltaics and electric vehicles are expanding rapidly, creating an unprecedented opportunity to transform how cities produce, store and use energy.
Accelerating urban decarbonization is now an urgent global priority. SolarEV City integrates rooftop photovoltaics, electric vehicles, battery storage, vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-grid systems, and intelligent community energy management to support affordable, resilient and net-zero communities.
Sendai will provide a global meeting place for researchers, academics, industry leaders, policymakers and practitioners to address this transition. Building on the city’s experience of resilience and recovery, the conference will connect international knowledge with practical action, establish shared research priorities and advance new collaborations across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
Conference objectives
- Identify priority research questions for SolarEV City systems.
- Share advances in technology, modelling, policy and implementation.
- Connect researchers with cities, industry and community stakeholders.
- Develop a continuing international research and innovation network.
Confirmed keynote and invited speakers will bring perspectives from solar energy, environmental systems and energy policy across Asia.
